Specialists in high-tech surfaces on metal coils

We specialise in modifying surface properties on various metal coils such as aluminium, copper, steel and stainless steel. To do this, we combine various process technologies: Anodising, high-vacuum coating (PVD) and individually developed primer and lacquer systems.

Production on an industrial scale

With four anodising lines, four PVD lines, one lacquering line as well as three slitting lines and two cut-to-length lines at our company location in Ennepetal, Germany, we produce functional and decorative surface qualities for a wide variety of sectors on an industrial scale. Our high-quality products are used internationally in the lighting, solar, automotive and electronics industries and are found on surfaces for façades and ceilings, furniture laminates, signs and name-plates and in household appliances.

With 7 production sites in Europe, the USA and Asia and 29 sales outlets across every continent, we are present around the world. This means that our customers in over 100 countries can rely on comprehensive service and rapid availability of our products.

Reliable quality in all processes

The high quality of our products and services is the cornerstone of our customers’ confidence in us. In a specially designed testing and development centre with application-specific testing facilities, our products are evaluated, measured and constantly checked so they are in line with international standards. In addition, we continuously monitor all our processes, and our quality management system is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Environmental protection from the factory

All surface finishing processes inevitably require the use of primary energy, consumables and water. Conserving natural resources has therefore been an integral part of our corporate philosophy ever since our company was founded. We are constantly optimising and monitoring our systems as well as the downstream environmental technology (exhaust air, waste, sewage). A functional hazardous substance management system also ensures our products comply with REACH, RoHS, WEEE and EoLV requirements. Since 2011, we have been producing using only “100% green electricity” from purely renewable energy sources. Our environmental management system is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2015, and our energy management system is certified in accordance with ISO 5001:2011.

Recycling from the start

Aluminium is perfectly suited to recycling. Because of this, our aluminium products are not only made of up to 90% recycled material (depending on the desired surface quality), but can also be recycled with virtually no losses at the end of their life.

This has both economic and ecological benefits: producing recycled aluminium takes up to 95% less energy, generates fewer emissions and helps protect natural bauxite reserves.

Climate-neutral company

Protecting the planet is one of the biggest challenges of our times. In light of this, we see it as our duty as a company to do everything we can to help ensure that international climate change targets are met. We had our CO2 emissions at the Ennepetal site and the product-related emissions of the automotive branch measured and will be compensating for these with carbon offsetting certificates in accordance with the UN CER standard in 2019 and 2020. We will be supporting five international environmental protection projects: three wind power projects in India and China, a hydropower project in three countries in Western Africa (Mali, Mauritania, Senegal) and a solar cooker project in China.
